What is the Anniversary Month in LeaseCrunch Software?

The Anniversary Month is the first month a billable lease existed within a client account.

A billable lease is a lease that was created in the previous month and is still in LeaseCrunch at the start of the current month (i.e. it was not deleted). The status of a billable lease can be ‘Complete’, ‘Review’, or ‘Incomplete’.

The Anniversary Month provides firms with greater visibility into when client leases are coming due, helping more accurately predict and manage LeaseCrunch billing.

Example:
The first lease in a client account was created on January 14, 2024. If this lease is in LeaseCrunch software after February 1, 2024 at midnight (UTC), it is considered a billable lease and the Anniversary Month is January.
**This is the most common scenario, though some exceptions apply.

What users can see Anniversary Month? Any user within a Firm will see the Anniversary Month column on the Client Accounts page.

The information below may be displayed in the Anniversary Month column:

Month (January, February, etc) Client has an active subscription in the LC billing system
Cancelled Client does not have an active subscription in the LC billing system
No Subscriptions The LC billing system does not have a matching client or subscription
Pending The LC billing system requires additional information to determine the Anniversary Month

Important:

Expired leases should remain in Complete status until the Fiscal Year End Financials are complete. This means some leases may be billed on the Anniversary Month even if they are expired.

Example:

  • Lease #1234 Expires: June 2024
  • Fiscal Year End: December 31, 2024
    • FY24 Financial Statements issued May 15, 2025
    • FY25 Financial Statements issued May 20, 2026
  • Anniversary Month: October.
  • The lease should remain in Complete status until Financial Statements for December 31, 2024 are issued. In this example, delete Lease #1234 after May 15, 2025.

If the Financial Statements include two years of data and historical reporting is required, the expired lease should remain in Complete status until the Financial Statements are issued, after May 20, 2026 in the above example.

Once Financial Statements have been issued, expired leases can be deleted and will not be billed on the next Anniversary Month. Leases that have been deleted are no longer included in Reports.
