Policies
The checkboxes within the Policies tab dictate functionality when adding leases, such as Wizards requirements and review and approval capabilities.
Policy Elections
Within LeaseCrunch you can enter your policy elections. While this does not impact the software, it is a great place to store policy information so all team members are well-informed. You can upload the templated version provided by LeaseCrunch or your own documents.
Reporting Entity
A Reporting Entity is a financial entity for which you produce financial statements. There is no limit to the number of Reporting Entities; however, at least one entity is required to start entering leases.
In the Administration tab is a sub-tab called Reporting Entity. This is where you name the entity and enter the initial application date.
Initial application date for FASB
Initial application date for GASB
GL Accounts
To further define your Reporting Entities, navigate to the Administration tab and then the sub-tab called GL Accounts. You can configure your GL Accounts there. By clicking the green 'Edit' button, you'll be able to input your desired GL Number and Description. If you need to add more than what is pre-configured, you can also select 'Add' and input the GL account and description from there.
