A quick overview of MFA including how to enable and disable the feature in LeaseCrunch
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a highly effective method to enhance the security of your account and ensure that only authorized users can access it. LeaseCrunch MFA specifically employs Timed One Time Password (TOTP) technology, which necessitates the use of an authenticator app like the Microsoft Authenticator. By enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your account, you add an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized login attempts.
If you have enabled MFA but no longer have access to your verification app, please reach out to your firm administrator for assistance.
To enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your user account, click your account name at the top right, select Manage Account. Once the user account page loads, click Enable MFA button.
Download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your mobile device from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Once the authenticator app is downloaded, scan the QR code from the app to proceed and click Continue in the LeaseCrunch software.
Enter the six digit code on the next screen, then click Verify.
MFA is now enabled and will be required on all future login attempts.
Removing MFA
To remove Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your user account, click your account name at the top right, select Manage Account. Once the user account page loads, click Remove MFA button.
If you have lost your device, your Administrator can remove MFA from your account.
